COMMUNITY PERSPECTIVE OF BOKO HARAM REPENTANT TERRORIST IN MAIDUGURI METROPOLITANS COUNCIL BORNO, NIGERIA

The study assessed people's willingness to accept repentant Boko Haram and the role of Government Non-Governmental organizations toward public risk-free coexistence campaigns. Primary secondary roots data were used for this study. First, a structured questionnaire was source from 382 sampled respondents. results revealed that most respondents affected by haram, 74%, while 26% not. Furthermore, also showed are not ready Repentance, with 79% because they killed their relatives, burned social environments, caused hardship, migrated. Also, fear when fails fulfil promise, can rejoin group be trusted. At same time, few people, 21% repentance believe peace will restored. Some reasons some forced join group, lastly, brainwashed. Finally, following recommendations proffered. Firstly NGOs should increase efforts enlighten people because, based on findings, enlightenment camping is enough. Secondly, ensure fulfilled promise after integrated if fail, again.
